The selectee for this position will serve as a Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic in Coronado, CA.

Duties

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

  • Disassemble, examine, route for process, assemble, modify and repair assigned hydraulic, pneudraulic, pneumatic and electrical accessories.

  • Test performance parameters are recorded and when necessary output is calculated.

  • Operate flow device at a rate of speed, temperature and pressure required by pre-determined written directives.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have experience, working under normal supervision performing tasks such, assembling/disassembling, testing, repairing and assisting in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic subassemblies and components; recording test performance parameters; replacing prescribed parts; checking the dimensions and tolerances and determining serviceability of parts; performing testing of Pneudraulic components using knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical principles; determining the condition of tested components; using prints, schematics, manuals, and technical documents; operating precision measuring dimensional and pressure devices; operating electrical and electronic measuring devices; using a variety of hand tools.
