Under supervision, the Administrative Coordinator enters data for the Movement Disorders Center. Assists with quality control audits, corrects discrepancies and anomalies, resolves missing records, and works with clinical staff. Maintains administrative logs and filing system for charts. Schedules patient visits. Coordinates physician clinic schedule. Aids in research recruitment. Assists in training student workers on how to edit videos and prepare clinic records. Administers cognitive test to patients and ensures forms and paperwork are completed. Maintains data. Performs other administrative duties and special projects as needed.
Demonstrated skills in using software programs such as Microsoft Word, Office, PowerPoint, iMovie and Excel.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Proven ability to process clinical case report forms.
Knowledge of Velos databases and experience key-entering both alpha and numeric data.
Experience working in an office/administrative setting, preferably in a college or university environment.
Demonstrated experience working in clinical setting, dealing with patient/research participants and related personnel including handling all aspects of scheduling, information retrieval and data entry. Experience with medical records confidentiality and management.
Knowledge and basic understanding of scientific/medical terminology related to movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
Demonstrated experience with complex scheduling with ability to prioritize and develop procedures to streamline workload and produce quality work with shifting deadlines and frequent interruptions.
Knowledge of EPIC patient medical information database.
Bachelor's degree in a field related or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
