Trellisware Technologies Contracts Administrator III in San Diego, California

TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. is developing advanced communication systems for use in various U.S. Government and commercial applications. To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements: Job Function: TrellisWare is looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator III with significant experience in Government contracting: directly, with the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government agencies, and indirectly through commercial prime contractors; and internationally, directly with foreign governments and indirectly through commercial distributors. Demonstrated expertise in establishing and supporting strong contractual relationships, and knowledge of commercial item sales to the Government and commercial entities is critical. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Negotiate, administer and manage various contract vehicle types, including cost-type, firm-fixed price, and IDIQ contracts for commercial product procurements and commercial and non-commercial RandD work, with U.S. Government, commercial, and foreign customers.Support the proposal process through the comprehensive review of the RFP, advice to the proposal team regarding contract requirements and clauses, and the generation of proposal volumes. Draft data rights assertions tables for review.Review, interpret, recommend, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions for a wide variety of agreements with customer contracting personnel in the context of company policies, procurement regulations and customer specifications.Advise management and internal customers of the risks and obligations of FAR and DFARS regulations and contribute to intellectual property protection strategies and practices.Interface with Contracting Officers, DCAA/DCMA, create and maintain auditable contract files, and respond to Government audit requests.Monitor contract performance for compliance with terms and conditions, funding, and payments, and work with appropriate personnel to resolve any issues.Regularly draft contractual correspondence and documentation from preaward through contract closure.Provide inter-department reporting to TrellisWare Legal, Programs, Operations, Finance, and Business Development departments.Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience:Bachelorand#39;s Degree in Business, Acquisition Management or another relevant field from an accredited college/university (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Government Contracting and the application, interpretation, and negotiation of FAR and DFARS Regulations.Experienced in pre-proposal stage activities, and active negotiation and administration of high-dollar, multi-year, complex contracts.Several years of experience in FAR Part 5 Commercial Item service and product businessSkilled in intellectual property positioning to the U.S. Government, including drafting of data rights assertions.Proficiency to work with MS Office suite and a variety of electronic data base systems.
