Overview Qualcomm Residency Program is 12-month role designed to jump-start careers in Deep Learning and Computer Vision. It will be based out of San Diego and residents will be required to work onsite.

Residents will work with pre-identified leads and projects (ML/CV/AI/DL etc.). The goal of the residency program is to help residents become successful researchers with hands-on industry projects, beyond the academic realms.

The residency program will be similar to spending a year in a Master's or Ph.D. program in deep learning and computer vision. Residents will be expected to read papers, work on research projects, and publish their work in top-tier forums. By the end of the program, residents are expected to gain significant research experience.

Current students would need to graduate before the residency begins. Applications will be shortlisted based on the prerequisite courses, proficiency in programming and also in the form of a transcript, letters of recommendation, notable performance in competitions, or links to an open-source project that demonstrates programming and mathematical ability.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with your research leads to formulate research project(s) and/or unique application(s) of the technology.

  • Conduct and publish research in different forums

  • Implement algorithms MS degree or equivalent practical experience in a STEM field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.

  • Completed coursework in calculus, linear algebra, physics, programming and probability, or their equivalent.

  • Experience coding in C/C++ , Python, Matlab.

  • Eligible to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Neural Networks

  • Project experience that demonstrates programmi
