Security Assistant 17-038 Job Description:As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies is expanding its workforce and has an opening for a Security Assistant.The Security Assistant will assist the Security Manager in administering, executing and ensuring adherence to regulations, policies and procedures regarding the protection of classified and nonclassified information at all locations. Support the daily activities of AUSGARand#39;s Security team.Additional Responsibilities include:Assist in maintaining personnel security files and ensuring complete accountability of documents and absolute control over sensitive personal information.Process visit, badge, and Common Access Card (CAC) requests.Function as a JPAS account manager and user.Support and assist in the ongoing development and administration of a robust security awareness and training program. Duties may include assisting in the development of educational materials, sending out training reminders, tracking completion dates, and maintaining training records.Provide foreign travel guidance and conduct travel briefings and debriefs.Support AUSGARand#39;s implementation of measures associated with company security policies and government policies/directives.Perform scanning, printing, copying, and filing tasks as needed.Create security training binders and company photo badges.Answer correspondence as well as prepare letters or other items to be mailed.Accurately perform data entry and update spreadsheets and other documents.Conducts inventory and orders supplies and restocks the facility as needed.Serve as the backup for company phone calls.Greet visitors and assist with check-in/check-out processes.May assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security-related policies, business continuity plan, databases and programs to assist in the accomplishment of established goals.May conduct new hire security briefings as well as debriefings.May initiate local area background checks and periodic reinvestigations. May track and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel.May assist in tracking contract and subcontract activities.May assist in overseeing courier procedures.May assist in overseeing security at all remote facilities.May assist in conducting and effectively documenting internal security investigations with regards to Security violations/infractions, criminal, disciplinary, and other matters as appropriate, to include specifying corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.May revise and create PDF-fillable forms.Perform other tasks as required. Total Years of Related Experience for Position: 3+ years of related experience Job Requirements:3 or more years of professional administrative experience supporting a high-volume, busy organization. Experience with personnel security, DoD and/or Intelligence Community-related personnel, physical, information and operations security processes is desirable, but not required.Must be able to handle high e-mail traffic, track tasks through completion, and provide excellent follow-up.Must have the ability to meet deadlines.Hands-on knowledge of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and e-QIP is desirable, but not required.Must be detail oriented, professional, discrete, and organized.Must be focused on work quality and be able to perform his/her own quality control (i.e., proofread and minimize errors).Must demonstrate good use of judgment and professional discretion.Must have demonstrated
