Responsible for the Western Region corrosion consulting offices with direct accountability for Engineering, Project Management, Project Estimating and Construction for the territory
Will work hand-in-hand with Sales, Director of Construction Services and Director of Engineering to drive standards, processes, asset management and best practices across the company
Will collaborate and steward the Pipeline Services and Coatings Services teams to drive growth.
Will have P&L responsibility for business unit including revenues, gross profit, overhead expense, and operating income
Will maintain active corporate safety programs within offices and business units, business development, and growth plan within business unit, and management of team member supporting plan within business unit
Employee recruitment and hiring support, development for business unit positions, and lead team to perform according to the Aegion Values and Quality Standards
Will support / pro-actively work with sales manager for the region
Key areas of focus:
Lead Safety Stewardship Culture
Ensure profitability goals are met and exceeded for the region
Lead, develop, and execute high level business strategy and market analysis to grow the territory
Commercial partner for all sales reps and sales managers in the region
Market Analysis of branch territories
Complete joint sales calls with sales and business development staff
Conduct customer Account Management Reviews on a periodic basis
Work with finance to analyze and develop action plans around KPI's and metrics
Conduct Branch visits and business reviews with local operations teams
Will participate and lend approvals for large projects related to kickoff mtgs, engineering reviews, job closeout analysis, non-conformance follow ups
Final approval for Contract Negotiations and T&C risk review
Approve pre-bid labor/install estimates above determined approval level
Interact with product line managers to provide input and settle any customer issues
Manage process & approvals for HR, compensation, org changes, disciplinary actions, etc...
Actively manage recruitment and employee career development
Collaborate with partners in functional teams (Finance, EH&S, HR, Supply Chain, Contracts, Legal, etc..)
Steward and follow up on cash flow issues related to major accounts receivables
Ensure top-level inventory management is in place at all locations
Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction, Engineering or related field
10 years of distributed industrial service and/or construction management experience in pipeline or related field required
6 years demonstrated ability in running an industrial service organization, managing change, and effect problem solving
Experience successfully managing, motivating and developing people, as well as delegates well, builds a teamwork environment focused on taking care of customers, encourages collaborative and competitive spirit
Advanced level with MS Office, as well as experience with MS Project or P6
Present business financials, forecasts and results to upper management
Must be able to travel as needed
