Sharp HealthCare Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA in Chula Vista, California
The Certified Nursing Assistant–CNA c ollaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in the delivery of quality patient/resident care under the direction of a licensed nurse. The CNA delivers care with consideration to age specific needs/care and contributes to overall unit functions. The CNA provides routine nursing care and performs established nursing procedures for adult and geriatric residents/patients in a skilled nursing environment.

Essential Physical Requirements may include:
Fine Manipulation / Pinching
Reaching below shoulder level
Reaching above shoulder level
Bed mobilization (scooting / rolling)
Lateral transfers (bed to gurney)
Bed to chair/wheelchair/commode transfer
Lift up to 50 pounds
Push/Pull over 100 pounds
Carry up to 25 pounds

8 hour shift, Per Diem, variable, working every other weekend
Required Skills and Qualifications
Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course
Current California Nursing Assistant Certification for Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the AHA
Ability to perform all baseline resident / patient care skills under guidance of Licensed Nurse.
Effective interpersonal skills
Fluent knowledge (written and spoken) of English.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- One-year recent experience in rehab, geriatric, or acute care hospital
