Under the general supervision of the Imaging Services Scheduling Manager, the Interventional Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling clinic consultation visits with IR providers as well as scheduling procedures in OpTime for our team of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Imaging Services scheduling systems - RIS, PCIS, and EPIC. Serves as a liaison for external and internal clinical contacts. Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system and provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff. Responsible for gathering information and screening patients over the phone.
High school diploma or GED.
Must possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.
Recent demonstrated experience in a similar role and setting.
Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Experience in scheduling imaging procedures/exams.
Medical Terminology with emphasis in Radiology.
Knowledge of Radiology exams.
Experience working in a large healthcare setting.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.
Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.
