Job Details:

Job Summary: Work with an agile team to design, implement, and debug DevOps functionality for SaaS systems and enterprise applications. Maintain infrastructure by completing tasks using DevOps tools, custom scripts and applications. Participate in relevant aspects of application design with software engineers and program management. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the creation, configuration, build and release management, and testing of infrastructure automation software with software engineers.

  • Participates in sprint planning, revise and update programs and documentation, including reviewing schedules and milestones.

  • Participates in and gain familiarity with code reviews, software development, and engineering processes.

  • Defines and executes software test methods and procedures.

  • Gains a firm understanding of software development and engineering processes.

  • Demonstrable ability in DevOps practices: automated build, automated test, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployment to live SaaS applications, system monitoring and notification, system security, networking.

  • Demonstrable ability in several DevOps tools such as: Git, Perforce, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Grunt, Gulp, Puppet, Ansible, FlyWay, custom scripting (e.g. bash, python, etc.).

  • Demonstrable ability to work in multiple build and deployment environments including Linux and Windows.

  • Demonstrate ability to multitask as needed by Supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field. Basic software engineering knowledge including programming languages such as C/C++/C#, and scritopg languages such as Python and Java Script a plus. Strong attention to detail and strong work ethic. Good written skills for reporting bugs. Agile development knowledge and experience preferred. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications. Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Able to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Demonstrate people-oriented management expertise and practices. Must have strong presentation and organizational skills. Ability to keep detailed records of work in a database or spreadsheet.
