JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Specialty Clinics, the EEG Technician performs EEG studies on pediatric patients in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in intensive care units. Provides all documentation and support services for testing, ensuring all ordered procedures are completed in an efficient and organized manner. Contributes best thinking and knowledge to the organization. Shares unique experiences, education, and insight with appropriate health care team members. Continues to learn and add to skills and education. Participates as a member of a health care team and performs additional duties, as required. Selects and administers appropriate interventions relative to age, developmental level and size of the patient.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent

1 Year of Experience

Current CPR/BLS certification (Issued by American Heart Association)

Excellent Communication Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 Years of Experience

Current matriculation in an ENDT training program

Experience in video EEG monitoring, WADA testing, ambulatory EEG

Experience working with developmentally disabled patients

Basic computer skills in Windows

Pass ABRET exam as an R. EEG Technologist within 5 years
